Who we are

The ISLAM AWARENESS FOUNDATION (iAF) is a registered UK charity committed to promoting authentic Islamic teachings, dispelling misconceptions about Islam and Muslims, and fostering community cohesion. We raise awareness and understanding of Islam while helping the underprivileged, regardless of their beliefs or identities. iAf is registered with the UK Charity Commission (Registration Number 1202079).

 

The main objective of  the iAF is

Our organization aims to promote Islam and alleviate poverty through various initiatives. These include:

• Producing and distributing literature, conducting seminars, and organizing interfaith events to raise awareness and understanding of Islam.

• Setting up Islamic Dawah stalls in different cities, facilitating conversations and dispelling misconceptions about Islam.

• Providing guidance and activities to contribute to the moral education of children.

• Promoting social solidarity and understanding in the community.

• Offering support to the poor and needy through food, grants, essential items, and services.

• Sharing the teachings of the Quran and Islam with non-Muslims through services, free Quran distribution, and support for those interested in embracing the faith

 

Vision

Our vision is to establish a comprehensive Islamic centre and educational facility that promotes accurate knowledge about Islam, dispels misconceptions, and serves the wider community. We aim to be:

• A place that embodies the values of moderation, kindness, charity, forgiveness, patience, perseverance, and neighbourliness.

• A welcoming and inclusive space for individuals of all backgrounds seeking an understanding of Islam.

• A family-friendly facility that treats everyone with respect and equality.

• A peaceful sanctuary for worship and gatherings.

• A community-oriented centre that fosters peace, tolerance, and cross-community sharing.

• An interfaith space that encourages harmonious interactions among different faith communities.

• An informative hub for accessing community services.

• A charitable institution that supports humanitarian causes.

• A provider of food bank services for the poor and needy.

 

Mission 

Our mission is to globally promote Islam, fostering peace through inspiration, education, and community service. We offer social, educational, and recreational services with a focus on youth activities and community welfare. We strive to promote understanding of Islam, foster harmonious relationships between Muslims and non-Muslims, and engage in learning and sharing for societal betterment.

Since May 2022, we have organized 300+ Dawah stalls across the country (ie WM, Liverpool, Leeds, Cardiff),, distributed 100k+ Islamic booklets and 10,000+ Qurans, and facilitated over 500+ direct conversions to Islam. We provide support and resources to new Muslims, including guidance on prayer, and contribute food packs to local food banks. We are also working towards establishing our own food bank to aid those facing financial hardship while continuing to donate within our available resources.

 

Our motto is

We aim to promote the peaceful teachings of Islam and provide assistance to the underprivileged in our community. We believe in making Islamic knowledge accessible to all, regardless of cost. Therefore, we offer free distribution of printed materials, including translations of the Quran, to non-Muslim individuals.
